floR and Remco's casemodding

Inspired by casemodding sites, Remco borrowed a Dremel from a colleague and we started to Dremel our way into the wonderful world of casemodding.

This is my ugly case which I badly needed to modify.

First I needed a cool illustration to Dremel into the case. I searched a while on Internet, had some doubts about the Diablo II logo, but decided to use this cool tribal sign instead.

I drew the figure on the case with a 3B pencil and prepared to Dremel.

I was very reluctant to just start drilling away into my pc case, but gathered enough courage.

After a few hours the figure was completely Dremeled out. Maybe I should have put a little more effort into smoothing the edges.

I bought 2 cans of spraypaint, one of which Remco used for his case. I chose blue metallic and spraypainted part of my garden in the process.

Drilling and spraypainting finished, I was quite happy with the result.

Case and PC combined again, it offers an intimate view of my computer. There's still something missing, though.

I redecorated my room in order to make the casemod visible. Apart from that goal, I'm content with the new setup, as I seem to have more space to move around.

Three months ago we ordered 2 cold cathode lights. Thinner, colder and brighter than neon, but we had to wait for 3 (THREE) months to get the order from coolcasemods.com.

I'm still waiting for a few pictures of Remco's UT mod, so this part is under construction....
